Oh the depths of the soul searching in the first piece show the artist was longing and searching with wide encompassing strokes and raw, raw fiery color. The multiple layers seem to echo an archway as though some need is going unfulfilled (perhaps desirous of a cookie?)
The second piece is exquisite in its interpretation of innocent, yet abstract love, struck by what appears to be the side silhouette of an adult figure coming toward the heart with the arms outstretched for deep pressure filled hugs and open affection. The background gray and murky only indicates the artist’s intense desire to focus on the beings and their love as opposed to their surroundings. Clearly, the artist is at home and at peace wherever she is, as long as love is present.
