Creepy
So you’ve been reading this blog about this cute little girl, but there is something I haven’t told you. She can also be very, very creepy.
Pudding likes to make up songs. Her latest is an ode to her brother:
Goodnight Cu-bby. Goodnight Cu-bby.
Goodnight Cubby, I’ll see you in the night!
In her little sing-song voice, I was initially lulled into thinking it was adorable. Upon closer inspection, however, it is evident that this song is nothing but sinister. I mean, I’ll see you in the night- that is a thinly-veiled threat, if ever I heard one. I’ve been curious as to what she actually intends to do when she sees him in the night. Not any longer.
Two nights ago she made good on her promise. I awoke to Cubby’s screams and found she had climbed the gate and was attempting to change his diaper (nappy). This is something she has taken to doing lately, but I always manage to catch her in the act. Of course, in the night, mummy isn’t there to guard her Cubby bear.
We’ve been enjoying recently a tranquil period where both kids slept through the night. This week though, Pudding has been waking up. She creeps into our room, forces daddy out of bed and climbs in next to me. I have no idea this is happening until I find her glued to my side. Not the smallest gap between us.
I tell you, waking up like that is just creepy- and she doesn’t even sing the song to me!
